THE SOUL: PLAYING WELL
Intuitive exercise is joyful movement. Learning to select movements that feel good to your body, are fun, and help you feel empowered. Additionally by focusing on moving our bodies for the sake of our well-being versus weight loss. we can reap the rewards of joyful movement. You will feel more energized, happier, promote heart health, and since we are having joy we will move more often.
tHE bODY: Eating Well
We have been so deeply influenced by diet culture that what we think and believe affects the way we feel about food. This in turn affects our behavior (what we do around food). Restriction, binge eating, tracking your food intake(either counting calories or only allowing yourself to eat at certain times) causes feelings of anxiety around food. This is not how we want to live the rest of our lives is it? I know for me it was no way to show love and respect to my body. The good new is that what we think and believe is a choice. So we can learn to uproot diet cultures influence. Then the way you feel and act around food will subsequently change and help you find food freedom. I work closely with you in my 1:1 Food Freedom Program to teach you how to respect your body through food choices, movement and self-talk. Feeling good on the inside helps you feel good about yourself on the outside, and in turn improves body image and confidence. We can learn to uproot diet cultures influence. Then the way you feel and act around food will subsequently change and help you find food freedom.
THE MIND: Living Well
By looking at the bigger picture of our lives, those who work with me are able to move away from diet and fitness industry culture that causes them to obsess over food and their body, and instead focus their energy on their life values. What can i expect from wellness coaching?
The skills to get back to basics . We are all born with the skill to eat, to stop when we are full, to eat when we are hungry and to eat satisfying foods. As we grow up that can change for a variety of reasons. Many of us lose that freedom and intuitive eating is learning to reclaim it. When we filter out the noise and influence that diet culture presents to us as false truths, we can then truly listen to what our body wants and needs from food.
